All About Us: Amanda

Rockstar Amanda lets us in on her morning oatmeal recipe, her deep love for Whitney Houston, & her go-to cocktail spot in Nob Hill.

Meet Amanda

I’ve been a competitive figure skater pretty much all my life. Anything related to music and movement– with a touch of a physical challenge has always been a part of me. Before uforia, I had no idea “dancing on a bike” even existed. I’ve been hooked ever since. My goal is to push you past your idea of what you’re capable of-but in a way that’s so fun you won’t be able to focus on the struggle.

Favorite Local Hot Spots?

I’m still exploring Palo Alto, but I do have a soft spot for it. I’m open to all recommendations. In Nob Hill, Chrome Coffee is always my pre-class go-to. Nara sushi is dangerously close to the studio and Rye has the best Old-Fashions for a night out.

What do you do in your spare time?

Figure skate, yoga and spend time with friends.

Where do you find your uforia?

Being around people who are doing what they love. There’s a special energy around people who are inspired by what they do.

What are your favorite pre/post workout snacks?

It depends on the time of day. For AM workouts, I have oatmeal loaded with berries, flax seed and chia seeds for breakfast, and if I’m active at night I keep it light and enjoy a salad or stir-fry post workout.

Favorite Song At The Moment?

I’ve been on a 80s/90s diva kick– “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston and “Fantasy” by Mariah Carey are on repeat. Also anything by the Chainsmokers!

Anything else you want us to know?

I’m so grateful to share my love of dancing on bikes and fitness at uforia. I hope you find my class uplifting and challenging enough to keep you coming back for more. Please introduce yourself if we haven’t met yet!
