All About Us: Olivia

Hip Hop Club Rockstar Olivia lets us in on her favorite “get low” music, her go to afternoon treat spots, & how she unwinds at night (think celebrity gossip)!

Meet Olivia:

Growing up, I took a lot of jazz and lyrical classes and competed on my high school dance team. If I wasn’t at practice, I was taking classes or watching dance videos on Youtube. Midway through college other priorities took over and I stopped dancing completely. Five years later, I started a new job in downtown Palo Alto with more free time and wanted to start dancing again. I found uforia, walked in, and fell in love with dance again! The rest is history.

olivia-uforia-instructorFavorite Local Hot Spots?

Since my day job (I’m a financial analyst & accountant) is in downtown Palo Alto, I’m always eating and drinking around there. Dan Gordon’s and Nola’s are two places I like to go for happy hour. I think Chantal Guillon’s macarons are amazing. My go to afternoon pick-me-up drink is an almond velvet ice tea from Paris Baguette.

What do you do in your spare time?

A large portion of my spare time is spent dancing and working out. I love traveling and trying out new restaurants/bars. On the weekend, I like going to the beach or hiking with friends. At night I like to relax by consuming large portions of celebrity gossip, beauty content, and Netflix.

Where do you find your uforia?

I find my uforia grooving on the dance floor to hot music and pushing myself (and my fellow uforians) physically and mentally.

What are your favorite pre/post workout snacks?

I love green juices and acai bowls. They’re especially refreshing after a sweaty class.

Favorite Song At The Moment?

Everything produced by DJ Mustard! His beats automatically make my body move. My favorite lately has been “In My Room.” My all time favorite is “2 On” by Tinashe.

Anything else you want to share with our uforians?

I’m excited to move and sweat with you on the dance floor! Oh, and I love puns and jokes Send them my way 🙂
