All About Us: Alexandra

uCycle Rockstar Alexandra gives us the inside scoop on her signature Macaccino blend, current music obsession, & how she finds her #uforia.

Meet Alexandra:

I remember taking my first cycling class at the age of 13! I was just tall enough to reach the pedals 🙂 .  I loved it and it became my favorite thing to do with my mom at 5am!

Favorite Local Hot Spots?

Truth be told, most of my favorite local spots are all food related. But hey, there’s nothing wrong with that right?! I love Calafia in Palo Alto and Koma Sushi in Menlo Park. Plus, a burger at the Dutch Goose is an absolute favorite. (If you haven’t been there, it’s a classic. Think: peanut shells on the floor, booths covered in carved initials, & backyard patio). These are my favorites but the whole Bay Area is full of places to explore! I also love hiking. Windy Hill in Portal Valley is a favorite local spot.

Alexandra uforia instructorWhat do you do in your spare time?

When I’m not in the Palo Alto Underground, I run an Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching and Personal Training Company. I’m lucky enough to spend most of my time empowering others to challenge themselves and be healthy.
I also make sure to set aside time to recharge in nature. Born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, I love to be outside–hiking, kayaking and SUP (stand up paddle boarding). Backpacking in the middle of nowhere is also amazing.

Where do you find your uforia?

Challenges inspire me. It’s through challenges in life, work, relationships, and health that we truly develop and grow. Whether I’m challenging myself or being inspired by others, it’s the best feeling.

What are your favorite pre/post workout snacks?

Okay, this is where you’ll see my nutritional health background kind of geek out.

Pre workout I’m all about my signature Macaccino blend: Maca Powder, Cacao Powder, Cinnamon, Vanilla Powder, and Almond Milk! Great energy booster to fuel me through class. Post sweat my favorite is a 3 egg omelet with asparagus and spinach! Yumm

Favorite Song At The Moment?

I’m REALLY digging “Cheap Thrills” by Sia ft. Sean Paul. It always gets me moving.

Anything else you want to share with our uforians?

I came to uforia after a friend’s recommendation and total praise. After my first class I was instantly hooked! The energy from the uforia Crew and the clients was so wonderful that it made me want to join the community and get on the Rockstar bike!
